Other less common brackets (also with potential font issues) might be:

⁅ ... ⁆  SQUARE BRACKETS WITH QUILL
❲ ... ❳  TORTOISE SHELL BRACKETS ORNAMENT
⌜ ... ⌟ (or ⌞ ... ⌝) TOP & BOTTOM CORNERS

IMHO, The latter have a certain attractive look & feel in this context.
