This is part of today's hacking on Xiphos.  There is 4.0.0b in
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnomesword/files/Xiphos/Testing/

Install a module, and Xiphos checks immediately for something being
obsoleted, asks to get rid of it for you.

Hit the new Scan Obsolete button on the mod.mgr maintenance page, and
Xiphos self-audits all modules in the hunt for obsolete crud, again
asking to kill it off.

Give it a try.
