[sword-devel] OSIS is ready (97% sure)

Both issues have been reported previously. I still await the solution, which
has been a long time coming, if indeed anyone is working on it.

One problem is that the SWORD module tools for Windows are compiled for
release only sporadically, as most of our software developers assume the
ability and readiness for module makers to compile the tools in Linux from
the latest source code. Few module makers who are not already software
developers are experienced enough to go down that route.

The issue of widowed verse tags was something that was also observed in
December 2011, when Peter created module TurNTB. I'd also discussed this
with Peter earlier in summer last year while I was experimenting with some
OSIS files for other projects that I was working on (which have not become
module submissions).

I tried to devise /ad hoc/ workarounds for the problem, which involved
moving paragraph elements to before the eID milestone for the previous
verse, yet these were not 100% successful, and were not feasible in some
contexts, such as poetry passages.

There are some bigger issues with title placements, even when they are not
missing. This also affected the TurNTB module, even though this was compiled
with osis2mod in Linux. The issue goes back to the various scripts involved
in fixing the output of usfm2osis.pl

For the titles issue with TurNTB, see
http://www.crosswire.org/tracker/browse/MOD-189

I would take the same view as your translation project manager. The quality
is not acceptable. I still have the same opinion about the Turkish Bible
module that we made on behalf of the Translation Trust.

Still frustrated by the lack of progress.
