I find it to be spontaneously slow at random times on Linux, too. Was there
one place where you found it consistently slow?

help Xiphos get on the Mac, that'd be great! (We're all in this together!)

I and Martin did most of the work. I no longer have a Mac, and Martin is no
longer active. I also have next to no free time until I resolve my current
employment back to a single job (hopefully only another few weeks). After
that I would happily work on Xiphos-Mac if I could. But most of the heavy
lifting of the packaging was done by CMake and came for free when bibletime
made that move. Xiphos uses wash, and I don't know if there is an
equivalent to CPack.

Maybe in bugs or the wiki. We have received such criticism before, but
since no active BibleTime developer uses Mac there is little likelihood
they will ever be addressed.

handles large dictionaries with ease. I'm working on getting av11n in the
next release (which should have been by now, but, you know, life
happens....). So development is active, but way too slow for anyone's
liking.
