Our solution right now is to wrap these into reference tags, create a
sword locale file with all abbreviations and then use a script which
uses the sword library to parse the text in between the reference
markers to create valid osisRefs and proper crossreference notes.
It works well.
The main problem is the creation of locale files. Right now these are
created by hand
I am considering to create a script which will do the job of creating a
skeleton at least from what is found in the book titles and xrefs.
