Erik B. recently came across an open source project called 
http://dictionarymid.sourceforge.net/ DictionaryForMIDs  that produces a
J2ME dictionary midlet.

The reason I mention it is that they have a process for including bitmapped
versions of fonts with the dictionary.

I don't know if what they're doing could be reused in Go Bible code or not,
but he thought it was worth passing along in case you hadn't seen it.
