The project is very much alive. I even had a face to face meeting with the
programmer last week.
For languages in which the culture is mainly oral and in countries with (as
yet) a low literacy rate, this could be a useful method for sharing God's
Word in small groups. Only one group member need be literate, and he/she can
[try to] answer any questions posed by the hearers, after they have listened
to a passage together.
Think too: (in missiological jargon) of "creative access" countries. Use
your imagination, friends.
The fact that no external computer is required is a huge bonus feature.
The DVDs could be labelled innocuously and stashed with a set of movies when
not in use.
