Very helpful response.

Just one point might need further elaboration (as I see it).

Were one to enhance the Perl code to take the directory name as the
argument, how would one know what Windows file extension the USFM filenames
might have?

We have already come across all of these: *.ptx, *.sfm, *.usfm
We have seen them too in uppercase as well as lowercase.
No doubt we'll encounter more variations as we collaborate with other
translation teams.
