[sword-devel] libsword utilities - Perl bindings question

Is there anyone clever and kind who could create a Perl module out of a
number of the libsword associated utilities?

I am working with module making perl scripts which heavily rely on
vs2osisref and parsekey. While it works just fine to call these via
shell the speed on my computer (Pentium M 2.3 Mhz)  is abysmal if you do
this several 1000x times per script.

I assume at least that having no shell overhead might make this faster,
do not know...
