You're right Jon about what would be displayed.  Upon reflection, I
think that the change would also break everyone's bookmarks.

For me to recode using a display name and a lookup is no harder (before
I start) than a simple conversion to a "simplified" title.  The question
is whether it can make it into all of the required source codes easily. 
Maybe someone else can answer that question.
