Indeed; as DM has put it, workflows are different.  My own sense is that
the most salient difference can be found in GnomeSword's carrying around
a large slab of context in each tab, which can afford to remain fairly
fixed -- need something new? open another tab for the duration -- such
that making permanent per-module settings is perfectly sensible.
