Lemma code to work.

Linas Spraunius, there is new logic to use UTF-8 toupper in unindexed 
searching.  It was a 4% speed hit, but as you pointed out, it didn't 
work at all before for non-latin1 texts.  I hope it works now.  Please 
let me know.
