Oooh ...... I should have thought about that.  Thanks.  I'm going to try 
to make it work that way.  Although I'm convinced that there ought to be 
no problem creating multiple handles to the same file in WinCE.  Some 
day, I'll look at that one too.  I'm on quite a big learning curve here.
