You can set a http proxy for FTP, file listings appear as HTML pages with 
embedded links. AFAIK Curl supports that kind of proxies (I'm not absolutely 
sure about the dir listings atm).
I think that this is a standard compliant setup. But if it isn't following any 
standard we shouldn't support that. But if it does it would be great to be 
able to work with that kind of setup.
