Welcome Gary,

With regard to Java, you are certainly welcomed to work on JSword. You
can find out more about it at http://www.crosswire.org/jsword and
http://www.crosswire.org/bibledesktop. Questions regarding JSword and
BibleDesktop should be directed to the jsword-devel mailing list. You
can register for that at
http://www.crosswire.org/bibledesktop/maillists.html.

Most of us use Eclipse to develop JSword and BibleDesktop. You can get
eclipse from http://www.eclipse.org. And we have instructions on how to
set up Eclipse and hook it up to CVS here:
http://www.crosswire.org/jsword/Eclipse.html.

With regard to OSIS, Chris Little and others on the sword-devel mailing
list may be able to help, but perhaps the OSIS users mailing list would
be a better place for getting help with adding OSIS support to
OpenOffice. I don't know where or how to sign up for the OSIS users list.

Hope this helps,
    DM
