Hi. I want to make a CD-ROM with various sword programs in it (for
windows and linux), and to make it standalone (put the CD in the drive
and it's ready to go, even with autorun if in windows). What i'm asking
is: is it possible? I haven't checked with the windows version yet, but
i guess that the linux ones could work that way assuming that all the
libraries are there (maybe with a small program or script that checks
that all the dependencies are installed), but almost all the windows
programs i see these days write lots of keys in the registry at install
time and depend on them after that.

So, what do you think, is it possible? yeah, it's not that good idea
because of depending on the speed of the CD-ROM and all that, but it's
practical, don't you think?
