I'm not sure whether you have a specific language in mind for when you say
transliteration may be ambiguous. We shouldn't be displaying multiple
transliteration options; we should be displaying the correct
transliteration, taking context into account. For the most part, our
transliterators are based on transliteration standards (either scholarly,
national, ISO, or UNGEGN), so it would be inappropriate for us to suggest
alternate forms, even if we felt the pronunciation was being
misrepresented.

This is the fault of whoever is compiling the betas because he is too lazy
to install ICU. :) The final release will have transliteration in it,
don't worry, but it probably will not change from the current
functionality.
