Well.. at first I didn't create the destination directory because I thought 
that only a filename was needed.

I used vpl2mod <input> <output dir> 1

Now I remember, the error  "Warning, overwriting verse: Malachi 4:6"
:-)

Thanks Chris, now it works, and much faster than with addvs, perhaps because 
I used a script to do that.
