I wanted to see what how many people we could potentially be reaching
with Sword (assuming everyone in the world can read and has a
computer--which I realize to be a very inaccurate assumption).
We now have Bibles in 48 languages (though 5 have no first language
speakers). Sword has a Bible for 3,076,549,000 people to read in their
first language, according to SIL's Ethnologue. Counting second language
speakers, I would estimate that number increases to about 4 billion.
That's only about 2/3 of the world, so I guess we'll have to keep trying
harder. :)
