Those are two very different ideas.  Sourceforge has been discussed
before and is not really required, since Troy has all the infrastructure
set up to his liking already.

Freshmeat, however is useful no matter where you host your project. 
However, it's already there, so there's no need to add it:

However, regular announcements would be a good idea - we've had nothing
since 1998.  I'll volunteer to keep the announcements up to date if no
one else cares to.
