[sword-devel] Douai Version & Apocrypha

I am new to the Sword Project and also this list and so my apologies
if I am already mentioning things which are already known about.
As many of you probably know, the (Roman Catholic) Douai Version has a different
arrangement of verse numbers. This is showing up badly in Sword when
comparing versions. It would be very helpful if somehow that version
could be specially processed so that the correct verses line up with
the other versions. Alternatively and also perhaps for the interim
period in any case, perhaps that module could include a message that
the chapters and verses are not the same and that equivalent passages
can be found using appropriate search criteria.
In relation to RC versions generally. I notice that the
Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical books are not yet available in Sword. It
would be handy to have them sometime, perhaps in the NAB version if
possible, although I believe there may already be text for the KJV/AV
around which could be used. Although many Protestant Christians do
not accept the canonicity of the Apocrypha of course, it does at least
provide useful background to the Bible and also for that matter, the
Jewish faith. Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Christians of
course have no problems, but would be served well if Sword catered for
them as well.
I will continue some different comments in a separate message.
My compliments to those of you who have already been contributing to
Sword. It is a most worthwhile project.
