Err, checked the NIV and it appears to take an entire line group as the
doxology. Not trying to stake a position but just observing the
reference in the note for Psalm 41:13.
The Catholic tradition, cf. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05150a.htm,
cites Romans, xi, 36 as an example, which appears to be the same as the
NIVs position on the Psalms.
So is the doxology the line group where the last line is centered?
If that is the case, then doxology should be a type on lg and formatting
the last line to be centered is a stylesheet issue.
But, note that centering does NOT occur at 106:48 (at least in the NIV).
Leaving keying on type for formatting aside, we will need a doxolgy type
on lg for liturgical purposes. Suspect that once one gets to the Latin
rite, what is termed a doxology becomes somewhat clearer.
Hope you are having a great day!
Patrick
