Thank you for your responses! I will download and-bible and check it out. If
there is anything I can do to help, whether it be feedback on how things are
working, or perhaps help with modules (I'll be honest, I don't know Java, but I
have made a couple of modules for myself for Sword), please let me know.
In Christ,
Chad

Hello,
There is an application that you can use on Android. You can download it
from here:
http://code.google.com/p/and-bible/downloads/list
This is based on the original Bishop libraries, as far as I understand,
and it has simple but already usable interface. I'm using it! On the
site you can find an additional zip file, that contains few English
edition, however you can extend it with other Sword downloadables. I
downloaded the Hungarian translations from here:
http://www.crosswire.org/sword/modules/ModDisp.jsp?modType=Bibles
... and it works fine on my HTC.

Hi,
Troy created Bishop which was based on the Sword C++ library. It was a very
nice prototype but I believe there has been no further development of it.
Simultaneously I had started work on a Bible for Android based on JSword
(Java) which you can find at the and-bible link below. I hope you enjoy
using it if you try it out. One advantage of using pure Java is that the
bible will run on all Android hardware.
You can see a rough summary of the current status here:
http://code.google.com/p/and-bible/
<http://code.google.com/p/and-bible/>Gabor, I am glad the Hungarian bible
works. I really have done very little testing on non-english texts but
sometimes hear of people who use it successfully. Maybe you would be
willing to translate some ui text into Hungarian some time. Thomas has
translated a little into Swedish for me and the ui is fully translatable.
Best regards
Martin
