I will look over all those files and get to work. Perhaps I'll send you
the biblical book names first and then once I get the rest translated
send it to you at one time. Maybe I will try to bring in a native
speaker to help me edit the translation. Better to do it right the
first time.
It's good to know about the hyphen/space issues. The abbreviated book
names have no hyphens, spaces, or non-ASCII characters.

Daniel,
I did the Farsi translation and some part of the German stuff.
The files you did are the most immediate ones. Once you have done them
the application will look the part - until you start using it.
Essentially the important files are the property files, first
BibleDesktop, then jsword, then common-swing and then common - in
descending order. The Msg files are of varying importance - some very,
some not at all. I think if you do every file I translated into Farsi
you should end up with a complete system.

I probably should have asked whether someone was already working on
this, but I have been translating the BibleDesktop user interface and
Bible book names into Vietnamese. I have the following files translated
into Vietnamese:
AboutPane_vi.properties
Desktop_vi.properties
Msg_vi.properties
ViewSourcePane_vi.properties
and
BibleNames_vi.properties
Traditionally Bible names are translated with a hyphen. For example,
Exodus is translated Xuất Ê-díp-tô Ký. When I created the Ansi file this
is the Exodus entry, with the hyphenated version in the alternate name
slot, hyphens marked
Exod.Full=Xuất Êdíptô Ký
Exod.Short=Xu
Exod.Alt=Xuất Ê-díp-tô Ký
I don't have access to upload to SVN, and I wasn't sure I had all the
necessary files. Can someone let me know where to go from here or if I
am lacking anything?
Daniel
