[jsword-devel] Java/groovy/scalable/clojure android

The future of java/groovy/scala are still too early to tell. To success the language have to be adopted by developers.
Java succeded because it was easier than c++.
groovy is doing ok because it is simple.
Scala has it's merit in functional programming, but developer need be very patient to appreciate it. 

On functional languages, clojure is gaining name too though it is only a couple of years old. It can be faster than java in certain apps. And clojure syntax is simple too. 

Android may will be very important though the confused market. But I am not sure if scala can play much role there.
