Where and how do I add other locales to Bible desktop?

Book names, abbreviations etc. I have some modules not (yet) part of
crosswire which would benefit from being able to use their own names for
books.

I have written a <language>.conf file which I added to locales.d in myh
own sword install, but have not found a similar place when looking
through Bibledesktop.
