[jsword-devel] Indexing issues

As I noted in a reply to your note, I have tested
"King James Version (1769) with Strong's Numbers"
in version 0.9.7 and what's under CVS. Both work (for me). What is under
CVS is significantly better in performance.

Version 0.9.6+ was a development, pre-release version (which the +
indicates) and is a point in time release that we cannot readily test to
see what the problem is. Any version with a + on the end is not stable
and problems should be addressed by upgrading.

I think that it would be best to upgrade to at least 0.9.7, which is
beta, but stable (not bug free). If you wish to help develop the
application (I saw on your web-site that you are a Java developer) get
Eclipse 3.0 (or some other IDE) and connect to CVS to get the latest
source and update frequently. Even if you don't help develop it, keeping
current and letting us know the problems you encounter is very helpful.

To get the latest stable release (0.9.7) you can use Java WebStart by
going to the download page and clicking on the WebStart Me button.
This is a link to http://www.crosswire.org/jsword/stable/jsword-stable.jnlp
If you have jnlp set as a mime-type for WebStart, it should download the
program.
