Yes, thank you. It has been happening since crosswire upgraded it's servers. Joe is working on re-writing the website and is almost
done. When he releases that, it will be fixed then.
So until then go directly to the ftp server to get the files:
The page gives a nice listing of the following locations:
ftp.crosswire.org/pub/jsword/release
and
ftp.crosswire.org/pub/jsword/nightly
For both listings there are files for windows and files for Linux. These end in zip and tar.gz, respectively.
There are executables (bin), documents (doc) and source (src).
0.9.7 is the most recent stable release. The nightly have the date in the name and their quality varies as they are unstable.
If you have Java 1.4 already installed you can use Java WebStart to download and run the application. When you installed Java it
installed WebStart and probably set a mime-type for the jnlp file to execute WebStart.
The urls for these are:
Release: www.crosswire.org/jsword/stable/jsword.jnlp
Nightly: www.crosswire.org/jsword/jnlp/jsword.jnlp
