[jsword-devel] Build update

The next things that I am going to work on are the <verse> markup
problem in WLS, the problem with the GerElb bible that Timo found
and I am trying to understand the difference in SwordConstants.getIndex
and BibleInfo.verseOrdinal (they are very different in their return
values. For example, Gen 1.1 returns 3 for getIndex and 1 for
verseOrdinal. Matt 1.1 returns 3 for getIndex and some very large number
for getOrdinal, which does not start over for the New Testament. I am
hoping that there is some repeating pattern where I can use the tables
in BibleInfo and get rid of them in SwordConstants.)

So, I can wait until you apply the patch. I am eager to see your changes
and to get the nightly build working again.

Joe, I would still like your opinion on where to place the functionality
of handling the extra verse markup. I like Chris' suggestion of checking
the OSISVersion in the conf, but so far nothing has used that tag. It
dawned on me that sooner or later that would be a necessary field as
OSIS 1.5 and OSIS 2.0 are different enough that they may require
different filters. (The software checks all conf files for tags it does
not expect and complains about them.) So I think that I need to have
fall back code, just in case.

WRT the spam, I am fine with rejecting any mail from non-subscribers.
Perhaps with a reply that the only way to post is to subscribe. (I have
tried to post w/o being a member to other lists and I have gotten this
kind of message.)
