Hi,
There is an option in under tools->options->sword->base directory to
specify the directory where sword modules are installed, so setting that
should get you started with some Bible text.
If you have CVS then I would ignore the install anywhere jsword.exe, and
build using "ant swingui", and then run:
${jsword}/target/ant/swingui/jsword/bin/jsword.bat
