All,

I put Fedora 10 on my main desktop which is a P4 2.26 with 512Meg of Ram. I installed all the development packages for KDE off the install DVD, and then updated the whole works after it installed (599 Megs of updates!)

I installed clucene-core-devel-0.9.21-1.fc10.i386

I downloaded sword-1.5.11 from crosswire and installed it with ./configure --enable-shared --without-clucene

I then downloaded bibletime-1.7beta3 and built using build-debug.sh, it bailed out saying it could no build using libpcre.so.
I installed the pcre_dev package and bibletime built fine. However, when I started bibletime, it complained about not finding sword-1.5.11.so.
I added the file libsword.conf which contained the path to my sword libraries '/usr/local/lib' and ldconfiged and bibletime started.

I had intentionally not installed any modules so I chose the Aleppo, DBD, ERen-id, ERid-en, Easton, JFB, KJV, NetFree, Pilgrim, RWP, Strong Greek, Strong Hebrew, TR, WHNU, and the WLC modules and started the download. While they were downloading, I played a game and messed with OpenOffice 3.0 trying to figure out how to get an Indonesian dictionary in it.

The modules all loaded fine and I then opened the following modules in this order: KJV, WHNU, Aleppo, WLC, JFB, RWP, NetFree, Pilgrim, Easton, DBD. After opening each module, I did a search (all modules indexed fine) checking "all words" and "some words" using "grace of God" "minister" and then "and a." No errors. I left each module on the desktop as I went through the following module. In the end I tried the different ways to arrange the modules on the desktop. No crashes.

Good stuff. Tom Crawford
