  James,

I am the BibleTime developer that builds the Windows version. I build
and run it on Windows 7 64 bit and I have not seen this problem. Since I
cannot reproduce the problem I don't know the cause of the problem, but
I have a couple of suggestions for you.

Even when you delete BibleTime from c:\Program Files (x86)\BibleTime,
there are two other directories that have information in them. I think
it makes sense to try deleting these and trying again. Look at
c:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming where xxxx is your login name. The AppData
directory may be hidden on your computer, but if you start typing it in
on the address bar at the top of Windows Explorer you will be able to
see it. Inside the Roaming directory you will see a BibleTime directory.
This directory contains the BibleTime settings and session information
that reopens the articles when you start BibleTime. The second directory
in Roaming is Sword. It contains the various works that you have
downloaded. If you delete this you will have to re-download these works.
So, you might start by deleting only the Roaming\BibleTime directory and
see if the problem goes away.

One other thing you might try is to use the 2.8.0_beta1 version that
just became available yesterday. It is a beta version and does not yet
have all the language localization complete. It can be found at:
   http://sourceforge.net/projects/bibletime/files/
