Most programs that use MDI (child windows inside the main window) don't
have any toolbar on the child windows. They put it all in the ain window
and change the toolbar contents depending on the currently active
window. This would overcome the vertical window toolbar size issue.

I don't like the Quit button there either. I have hit it several times
by mistake when I was wanting to hit the full screen button.
