Might I suggest:
The 1.6 version has been recently introduced with its long anticipated
and oft requested support for Deuterocanonical/Apocryphal works.
However, there are three things to remember. First, BibleTime doesn't
yet support the broader canon very well. We will work on that. Second,
there are no important works yet to download which would have
Deuterocanonical books, though this will hopefully change soon.
I'm actually not certain about that second point. I've been away from
BibleTime for a while because of the 64 bit Sword problems but I believe
both the Douay-Rheims and Vulgate are available which both contain the
deutero-canonical books.
Might I also suggest:
If you feel the slightest inspiration in your heart telling you
BibleTime should be available or better supported in your own language,
don't stand still but help us.
I'm looking forward to trying BibleTime 2.0 and sword 1.6. Thanks to
the Ubuntu packages for making that task easier! - John
