I was also going to write a post called "next steps" but you got it first :)

As I said, I must work with bookshelf and dnd so that we will have
possibility to copy/move items.

I have marked the "Bookshelf opens two windows" bug closed. However,
we've got problems. I found out that single/double click is style
dependend. Just change between Plasma and Oxygen and you'll see. The
code doesn't work logically - I thought it should work in all cases but
it didn't. I have to do some heavier changes and I have already started it.

These are the major bugs/features which I'd like to see in the next
release. I suggest we release beta3. It would have also:
    - commentary editor toolbar ported to Qt (Gary; BTW, font list
doesn't have to have a fancy fontified list - a simple list is enough)
    - possibly the Search analysis (Gary)
    - Gary is already working on finishing the Config dialog - how's
that going?

So there's really not much left for that. The search analysis can be
done later if needed. The time when these are ready depend mostly on my
own items, the window opening and the bookmarks list. They require more
work than just going through the code. If Gary gets his items ready
before I do we have plenty of smaller bugs and new ideas... The shortcut
editor is the one I especially miss.

The reason I'd like to see this beta3 is that replacing KHTML is a huge
job and I wouldn't release 1.7final before it's ready. 1.7 would be free
from KDE. We have discussed about this roadmap earlier but I didn't
find it in my archives. Staying in beta mode doesn't feel very
motivating but I have given my opinion on that: it's better to say we
are not ready and still publish than to say we are ready and get
negative feedback/feelings for not really being ready.

On the KHTML/WebKit: Martin suggested using javascript. Have you looked
at this any further? I would really appreciate if you could do it.
