[bt-devel] Do we need Old bookmarks?

Importing the old bookmarks has probably been important when migrating
to the then new system, but this happened 2003-01-04 according to the
changelog. Do we still need this functionality? Is it possible that
someone still wants to move the old bookmarks from version <=1.2.x to
the 1.7 version? More than five years have lapsed after all and it's
hard to imagine that someone still has a version older than 1.3. If this
functionality is removed and someone has a problem with old bookmarks we
could offer importing the bookmarks as a service - not too much trouble
for these supposedly extremely rare cases, if we just have a running
version between 1.3 and 1.7alpha2.
I am rewriting the bookmarks index/items code and would like to simplify
it as much as possible (now it uses 7 classes for items while only 3 or
2 should be necessary). Removing the importing functionality would save
code and time.
I'm sorry about the delay which is caused by the bookmarks but I
couldn't get d'n'd working with the old mess of code...
Yours,
