CDATA seems to be in the display templates. I don't know exactly how it
works so I cannot comment this further or say if this is related to the
problem at all.
Here is a direct copy of some part of the Bible display window, copied
by selecting from the display window (not using any debugging
capabilities). You can see that it displays the css code which it should
not.
