It works fine here with Linux. Do you mean the module installer or just
the Bookshelf? I have many modules installed all the time and have not
tested e.g. the situation when there are no modules at all and BT is
started for the first time.

I think we haven't touched the relevant parts of the code recently, so I
guess it's a KDE/Mac problem.

I have no idea of the reason, use --debug and send it and the
possible backtrace here.
