Summary: Drop downs missing from choosers
Initial Comment:
In beta3, compiled on a Mepis 6 (Ubuntu derivative)
system, I have no drop-down menus for choosing book,
chapter and verse.
See attached.
I can change settings by clicking the small oval
between the up and down arrows and then moving the
mouse up and down.
I'm presuming this is a bug. If it's an enhancement, I
strongly suggest returning to the previous code. I find
this extremely difficult to use accurately on my
desktops and impossible on my laptop.
Thanks!

I guess that's a bit subjective. My hands are arthritic and
I much prefer the mouse to the keyboard. For me, the
keyboard is _always_ slower. (Unless I'm still
misunderstanding how this is supposed to work.)
Have you seen OliveTree's BibleReader software for the Palm
OS? It's the fastest and easiest (click-driven) Bible
navigation system that I've seen. Four quick clicks and
you're anywhere in the Bible. I'd love to see BibleTime
incorporate something like that.
Thanks for BibleTime and for your time, skill, and energy
developing it. It's a great program.

The drop-down boxes are far slower to navigate than just
entering an (abbreviated) reference directly. That's why we
changed to the current approach.

It's a feature :)
The three boxes have been combined into one.
But I guess we could add some shortcuts to enter the chapter
directly in a small popup or something similair.
The preview completion popup should be improved, as well.

The actual navigation works fine - I can go to chapter and
verse by entering it in the text box, by using the up and
down arrows, or by using the scroll wheel over the ovals.
What is missing and I thought was a bug but may be a feature
;-) is the drop-down menus that have been in previous versions.
Compare the two attached files to see the difference in look
and feel.

Hi,
have you tried to enter the key into the text box?
I guess we need to simplify the navigation with that new box.
