I should also mention that I drag the verse to the new bookmark before
the new bookmark folder is ever de-selected.  If other words, if I first
move to another bookmark folder and then drag onto the new bookmark
folder, it works.  Perhaps, the QListViewItem is created but some other
necessary object is not created until de-selecting the QListViewItem?
