The icons for themeing are usually handled in the system wide icons. In this
case for instance with mandrake the crystal icons for bibletime would be
included in the kde-moreartwork-crystalicons.i586.1mdk.rpm or something like
that. That pack includes all the icons for the crystal set for hte whole
system. If an app has specific icons in there it will use those instead and
fall back to the original icons only if none are found in the theme pack.
Now this is on a system level and I'm not sure how it affects individual apps
but all the regular kde apps seem to change icons just fine. For instance
kmail and such.
