Fred,
thank you so much. The handbook looks fantastic!
As far as I can see now, I'd like to ask you to reconsider once section: the
section about configuring fonts. This changed entirely compared to 1.2. There
is no longer a "Unicode" are in the application. Fonts are now configured
entirely based on language. Please play around with BibleTime using some
foreign modules trying to get them to display well. Try Hebrew (BHS) for
example (font: Ezra SIL or Code2000).
I'd suggest that you leave out all technical details about encoding, Unicode
and stuff. Just tell the users that they need to set an appropriate font for
each language that does not work with the standard font of the application,
and that the font they use for a language needs to contain the characters
used in that language. The sections about obtaining and installing fonts are
very good, but the one on Unicode fonts might have to be reconsidered.
And you are right, quite a few images need to be redone because so much has
changed. Probably all images that are screenshots (rather than just icons).
Maybe others (Joachim, ...) can help you with that? I won't be able to, since
I'll be gone for a week tomorrow.
But nevertheless, your work is just awesome.
