Just trust me on this one. Kde3 on mandrake is not what you think. It is a 
bear to get it installed and working correctly because it is not supported by 
mandrake. Like fred mentioned Mandrake 8.2 shipped with kde 2.2.2 and kde3 is 
an addon after the fact. Most will not be putting kde3 on thier mandrake 8.2 
systems and if they do they will be fighting just to get it to work 
correctly.
