:)
Let me know when the project is finished so I can congratulate you and your
girlfriend.

What about a commandline option which will do this task? Putting an icon on
the desktop with the correct commandline will open the bible with a random
verse so you can start to read. What do you think?
Or maybe support for the daily devotional modules which are available on
Crosswire?

No, it's not a hidden feature.
Please install the module "Personal commentary" and make the files of it
read-write for the user. Then open the commentary as you normally do and
press the button with the red pencil on it. The window will switch into edit
mode and show some edit toolbars, etc. Now you can edit the text and save the
changed things to disk. Does this work?

1.2 has better slightly edit capatibilities because it uses Qt 3, but they
should be roughly the same.

Editing will be improved in 1.3, on which we're working on at the moment. 1.3
will have an own edit window for the modules, it will save in the right
format and allow more things.

But I have to admit that the editor in 1.1 is not very well implemented. I'd
suggest to use a standalone editor until we offer better edit functionality.
Using the tools provided with Sword 1.5.3 creating a module from your own
commentaries will be easy (I'd suggest the tool imp2vs). If you have
questions about the format of the file please ask me.
