Hello Brook,

still looking at your file. What makes me wonder is why you introduced a 
build_menus variable which needs to be set manually? I assume this is for 
Mandrake building. Could you not just do a 

if [ %{ostype} = "Mandrake" ] ; then

to find out about that? Just wondering... I don't understand alot of this. 
Could you send me the additional required file locales.d.tar.bz2 which I need 
for building a srpm? Do I only need to copy this to RPM_BUILD_ROOT? How then 
can I create a srpm? Thanks,
