I could agree with this approach. Fonts are a resource that can be provided
that are matched to a particular module; perhaps the sword module identifies
this
(internally) already? I don't know. If not, then we will have to do a
preliminary correlation.

How about this... what if we decide (by design) that we will use freetype
fonts
and the end user doesn't have freetype installed? Should installmgr offer
to the user to download/install it? Or do we just install a font that will
work with the fontserver installed, with priority given to freetype over
type1 (for example)? Or do we install both when able?

BTW: if the end user has another preferred font, then it still will show up
in the font selection list if they go to change the font for that module.
So we aren't creating any ugliness for them.

--------
I've downloaded and burned the sword iso (20010519) to see installmgr
"in action" in the linux environment. I haven't bothered digging up
a windoze platform to see it's cousin work yet.

However, I noticed that it didn't/couldn't find the modules to install
on my cd. I tried pointing to the modules directory, but the selection
list stayed empty.

QUESTION: Is this normal behaviour for this tool under linux?

QUESTION: It seems the install.sh defaults to install 0.24. Was this
intended?

QUESTION: Are we prepared to take a snapshot the source tree for installmgr
at this point, and start a different branch of development? Is
there any development being done to installmgr by anyone in the
            sword group now?

Thanks... Tim
