The number at the beginning of the verse in different color.?

I can get the pointer to change from a text select tool (hand pointing left)
to a link select tool (hand pointing up).
If I  drag the hyperlink the tool turns back to a text select tool.  I tried
with left, center and right mouse down.  Right mouse gives verse to print
queue option.
