[bt-devel] kdebase stuff

I am now to the point where yesterday I successfully compiled BT 0.3

In order to see what I am doing, the web page says to load BT in KDE 2
(using kdebase) and selecting some colors, then closing.

I lost about a week by trying to load KDEBASE before...  So I am somewhat
reluctant to try anything without some suggestions.

When I compile KDEBASE, how to I keep from destroying my beloved KDE 1.1.x?

Is there a configuration file I can create or edit to acheive the same
results?

Any suggestions wuld be appreciated.  I am going to compile kdebase now,
and start digging into the development tomorrow.
