[bd-users] migrating e-Sword modules

To my knowledge most of the modules in e-Sword are public domain and
also available in Sword.

You could run e-Sword with WINE if you have all the DLL's it requires.

I prefer Bible Desktop because you can run it from a thumbdrive
anywhere. e-Sword must be installed on the local machine.

If you download PortableOpenOffice (portableapps.com/openoffice) for
text editing, PortableFirefox if you need a personal web browser, and
maybe TiddlyWiki (tiddlywiki.org) for linked personal notes, you have a
very good set of tools on your USB drive or CD-RW.

Right now I am using TiddlyWiki for my Bible software, with the iframes
version of the (English only) NETBible (bible.org) embedded in it. It
is more flexible for personal notetaking, but I am still figuring out
how to search the text, set up a reading calendar, and do word
processing from within TiddlyWiki.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in Indonesia.

Coby
