[bd-users] Books will not initialize properly

Using JSWORD 1.0 or 1.0.1

Clicking Tools => Books generates Java errors (I cannot get a list of 
these errors, but the top level drop down reads: 
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException:1

Here are some of the errors, copied line by line:

there are many more, but perhaps I can be pointed toward a solution from 
the above info.

Java: Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_06-b05)
